TODAY IN HISTORY
Today's topic is History! How fun is that? We have lived in Coventry for almost 20 months now, unfortunately still unaware of its history. So, I have made some research and I will try to summarise my finding.

First of all, Coventry is famous for its Cathedral(s). The top photo, Sarah in the ruins of the old Cathedral. It is just an empty shell of the old Cathedral after surviving an air raid during the World War II. Thought that you might be interested to know, the code name for that raid was "Operation Moonlight Sonata". The ghastly event took place in November 1940 and killed more than 550 citizens.

What we have always overlooked is another cathedral right opposite the ruins. It is a modern building with zigzag effect and has a huge statue right infront of the building. Not knowing that the building has an equal architecture value as the old Cathedral, we didn't take any photo of it. But there is a photo of Sarah in between the two buildings.

This is only about the cathedrals. Guess what? There's more.. Lady Godiva, the industry, the city itself... But I think I have bored you enough.
