Coventry: Canal Basin
It's nearly our third year in Coventry. We have seen "Canal Basin" brown signboard near the town centre. (Brown means historic or interesting place) Today we thought that we should go and check out the place.
Furthermore, we owe Sarah to see some ducks. We brought along some bread with us anticipating to see some ducks or geese or swans there.
The place was so calm and quiet when we arrived. There were a few boats and a few shops nearby but most of them were closed. May be it was Sunday. The area was clean and well kept too.
Amar was strapped in his stroller all the time and Sarah kept her distance from the edge of the platform. I heard she reminded herself not to go near the water. Sarah saw some fishes too. She excitedly shouted "Fish! Fish!"
Babah took a lot of photos and I took some.
We walked down the path and reached a tiny garden.
Sarah was clever at naming the colours.
"Allou, Purple, Yu, Pink, Yeen..."
(Yellow, purple, Blue, Pink, Green...)
and,
"Look Mama, bee......"
When we were about to leave, Sarah asked us;
"Mana ducks Saghah?" (Tak de soalan lain ke Sarah?)
We had our lunch at McDonalds.
There, Amar did his funny faces again.
Babah and Sarah just couldn't stop laughing.
While I couldn't resist capturing the KODAK moment.
The kids must have been very tired, they fell asleep in the car on the way home which only took around 5 minutes.
So Canal Basin may not be as spectacular as Stratford upon Avon and there was no ducks too! But the visit was as memorable as any other places we have been to.

For some reason or other, that picture of Sarah and her babah surrounded by flowers and greens reminded me of a scene from Spirited Away.. hehe.

Dear MS.. I have been away from blog world for some time now ;( buzy at the kelang, so have had no opportunity to read your previous blogs much.
Any way, out of curiosity, any more checkups needed with Dr Amar and Co?
Plus what was the root cause of the problem?
Hmm bunyi macam enjenear laks...

saghah nak tengok ducks... mana perginye ducks? kesian dia, termenung ingat duck dah masuk lunch pack mcD. ;)
Pok ki Alhamdulillah, so far kuku amar nampak dah tumbuh balik. I was quite worried tak akan tumbuh balik as one of the possibilities was kuku tak tumbuh.

Dr ikelah We promised Sarah to take her to see the ducks at Stratford upon Avon when her grandparents come to visit in July.
Now every morning, she will say; "tunggu nanny datang dulu, Tok Abah datang dulu, kita gi nok ducks, OK?"
p/s: I'm sure Merapi more interesting and beautiful than our Canal Basin
*wonders if Sarah would eat ducks knowingly after this?*
Belum lagi jejak kaki ke sana. Cantiknya...
