Negaraku
This blog is so in need of an update! I'm sure everyone is already bored looking at the kepala ikan! I will try to update about Sarah and Amar soonest possible. But for today, I have just nicked this videoclip from izlinYaya's blog. Watch this;
If you all still remember, Lin and Yaya are Sarah and Amar's cousins. I am so amazed at the things they are capable of. Nanyi siap getar-getar suara. Mahal tu!
And Lin can already read at a tender age of 4. Sarah and Amar have lots of catching up to do! Come on Sarah and Amar, let's go read some books.

PMS,
teeheeheee, your kepala ikan pic reminds me that I have not been to the local St. Nicholas market!
Selalu kalau ana ke mana2, ana suka lawat pasar basah diorang eventhough tak beli apa, because the local market gives indication as to how prosperous a town/city is. Bath wet market for e.g. is so clean, perfumated, air con-ed and tak basah sama sekali - so posh! Plymouth market smells so much of fish and sea sbb ada so many fishmongers, and has the air of 70s. Cardiff's has a p*rky smell etc etc.
But Syeikh Nydd what is a market without the fish smell? hehe
simah bukan twins. Lin is 4 years old. Adik dia: Yaya is 3.
Nnydd speaking of Pasar ikan Cardiff. I had to take some time to recall how it looked like. I almost declared; "Probably I have never been to PAsar Cardiff"
Lamaaaa lepas tu baru teringat! Ada satu stall aje pun - dekat left of the entrance, kan? Pastu ada kedai sayur right opposite where I used to get cili hidup utk buat nasi ayam.
DITH the smell: haha!
I tak tahan kalau yang basah, berlinang2 dgn air. geram! (kat msia lah selalunya ni)
teringat masa kecik2 dulu, ikut ayah ke pasar Muar. Horror sungguh bila nampak pasu/tempayan orang jual siput. (yg orang masak lemak cili api tu)
TAKUUUUTTTTTT!!! rasa macam siput tu kejar. Yang sebenarnya geli! Sampai sekarang pun geli. tapi bila makan tu, aaahhh nikmat!
Pandainye the kids! Walaupun kecil, bakat mereka besar... Hey, your kids are smart too..
-Sherin-
mama sarah...abis semua pasal Muar kita crita...laa ni dah masuk bab pasar besar kat Jln Salleh pulak ye...bau pasar, memangla amat saya tak tahan, abah kalau singgah kejap pun, bila dia masuk kereta, bau pasar mesti melekat kat baju dia...(macam bau asap dapur bila kita masak)..sampai berbau dlm pasaraya yg ats pasar tu...aircond pun tak dpt hilangkn the blessed smell of a true market..:-P
Syeikh Nnydd- Bath nye market..free of smell ke? terpegun dengar...they must be having a super good ventilation system...MasyaAllah...n org2 Bath mesti ***** punye.
oh ye PMS..itu nasi briyani di bus station memang masih wujud lagi, dah konfemkan (diorang dpt bangunan baru- baru je siap, sementara dlm pembinaan, mereka dipindah alih sementara di stadium..ingat lagi? where our public library is)...yg di Jln Sayang lama dah tiada...
BTW..sesape yg sempat balik 29 Sya'ban nanti..bolehlaa memeriahkn restoran tu...makan nasi beringin free...bestnye.
wrt mee kingdom..ape lagi yg paling popular pun selain dari mee bandung Muar. Sekarang ada frozen rempah..sedap!
quite good!!! yeah the tremolo is there... they have to train on the piano forte and andante a little bit... the little one tends to allegro a little and much staccatto is heard at new phrases... timing is perfect...
hahaha, comment yo yo macam exam music haaa... cute la these girls... want a girl too laaa...
hey, apsal tak mama amar haaa??? kang terasa plak dia... jangan pilih kasih tak baik... hahaha jangan marah neee... gurau je ni... maybe babah amar sounds better??? hheh...
sherin thanks!
fm terkejut juga dgr syeikh nnydd tu kata pasar bath siap ada aircond! Mesti harga pun boleh tahan juga tu. Hmmm, why am i not surprised? semua barang di bath memang mahal pun!
izhal your comment is too nice. tak leh jadi Simon Cowell!
Apasal tak mama amar? hehe. 2-3 org pernah ckp yg sama dulu. panjanglah nak keluar bab lama.
tapi orang arab pun punya gelaran: Abu (nama anak) or Umm (nama anak).
abih tu, anak dia yang lain tu tak kecik hati ke?
isykh panjang nak explain ni. boleh buat thesis. tapi i'm sure you already know about this, saje je nak mengusik?
PMS:
tepat sekali. i bought mackerel as always, and cockles (adik beradik kerang). the fruit stall opposite fishmonger tu was where i usually bought my fruits.
inside the market, butchers berderet sebelah kiri, tu yang wat bau p*rky tu. have you been upstairs?
DITH:
Ntahlah DITH. Though Cardiff, Bristol, Exeter for e.g. are also ports, Plymouth is much closer to the sea, and a longer naval history. I guess being the last English town before Cornwall has left Plymouth a bit behind. The pleasant thing about it is you could get a glimpse of how British wet market looks like donkey years ago. I actually quite like Plymouth's despite the strong fish smell, and almost chose to have fish and chips at one of the joints upstairs.
no i dont know about this... heheh...
ya la presentation food is inportant... but jangan jadi macam jepun, present ja lawa, rasa tak sedap mana pun... jadilah macam italian, prsent boleh tahan (but cannot beat jepun) but rasa, ya-Allah... perfect!!!
nahhh, jadi macam melayu pun bagus... your presenttaion ikan tu is simple and beautiful like the jepun, and looks so melelehkan air liur like the italian!!!
Assalamualaikum,
It is my first time here (blame my bloghopping habits) :p
Oh my, your angels are sooo Adorable!! (with a capital 'A') ;)
nnydd I still remember you cooked 'rendang' cockles berserai at our Smeaton St Home.
pasar cardiff tu - almost never masuk dalam, apatah lagi naik ke atas.
izhal about 'that', bila i siap thesis about that particular topic, i bagi you baca.
the presentation of my cooking, haha terima kasih. i think i have to keep on reminding you all, it may look good, tapi rasanya belum tentu sedap lagi.
i can guarantee you, kalau u datang rumah kita di msia nanti - i beli je semua lauk pauk! (takut lah nanti sensei tulis kat blog: pergi rumah ex-ldp, makanan nampak sedap, tapi rasa 0/5)
farah y waaaahhh thank you for hopping into my comment box.
1. the girls in the video are my nieces. cousins to my children. but thanks for the compliment. I think they get them a lot. they are adorable and intelligent kids!
2. do you sense that i have been secretly reading your blog and fotopages?
i adore your work, esp those with the small kiddies.
did I? Hafiz Sakan kut, teehee... i wanted to cook but he did not have confidence in me! ntahlah, dah tak ingat...
i dont think you are the only lady yang tak pernah masuk dalam. ask auntie de, mrs. rosli, naja n dyanna? teehee... some guys never knew where it is even, tapi guys forgivablelah...
...atas tu ada pet stores. i went up first time looking for hamsters, gerbils and dormice, but ended up tak beli any.
nnydd buat apa nak masuk kalau tak de keperluan? nanti tak pasal2 kena belanja duit.
btw, teringat sebenarnya i went inside to buy dried flowers utk hiasan rumah crwys road. masa tu baru kahwin.
about rendang 'serai' tu. i ingat sgt22222. sbb
1. it was u who offered to cook. satu kesempatan yg tidak boleh dilepaskan begitu sahaja.
2. u used the whole bekalan serai from msia yang i ada!
3. it was unbelievably sedap! tapi cockles tu sikit sgt. maka saya mengejek, ini bukan rendang cockles, tapi rendang serai! sebab asyiklah tergigit serai. (serai diracik halus kan?)
haha. sorry syeikh. saje nak tunjuk skill memory ni. saya masih muda.
now you mention it, i have a faint recollection of offering to cook the cockles. but cannot be too sure if i really did. yep sikit; the cockles they sold it in small 'coleslaw' cups, each about £2 lebih rasanya. i am still keeping the wish to visit the cockle capital of the world - Morecambe Bay. There is even a song by UK's first Ottoman-appointed Syeikhul Islam about this particular bay.
at any rate, it was not because i am getting old, but because i was too young to remember!
nnydd haaaaa Morecambe Bay. Saya pernah sampai, yeay! tapi like you syeikh - i was too young to remember what it was like at the Bay.
Silaplah. The song is about Douglas Bay on the Isle of Manx, sung in traditional Manx.
I will pop into Bath Guildhall Market again if I ever going to visit the posh, tiny city again. If Mynn wants to come tell him Saturday would be a good day when street artists abound, though not very surelah now it is autumn. But really Bath and all its poshyness does not impress me - I prefer the nearby Freshford (lives up to its name) and Bradford-upon-Avon. There are miles upon miles of stunning scenery along the Avon & Kennet river walk, small 'jeram', old watermills, medieval dovecotes, and grassfields saujana mata memandang. The trail is easy-level, and not so known hence you can be all on your own in most rural England for miles. That is a big plus actually, and exactly the reason why ramblers come this way! Ah, I better stop.
As I greatly hate pedantics, the Isle of Manx above is a typo.
Nnydd, saya bukan posh tapi saya agak kurang suka ke tempat yang jalannya bengkang bengkok. Bimbang anak2 mabuk dan meragam.
I am berangan'ing' to visit Bath again. I've been there long time ago for a very short visit with no money in my pocket. Emm, cuma mampu beli sebatang pensel (20p) sebagai kenang2an.
kalaulah anak2 saya 'steady', nak bawa ke south, cornwall dan land's end. tapi rasanya tak possible kot.
kalau single macam anta, bolehlah nak meredah apa saja.
re:
Really? Aw I’m flattered! Your visits are very very much appreciated. Many thanks! :)
