Meet the Ds
Someone was definitely worn out after a long full day of helping her Mama tidying up her toys. Surely her Mama didn't want to face an embarrassment when her friends come over for dinner scheduled after isya (isya around 6.30pm).
Amar was already asleep in the room upstairs. Sarah said she wanted to help me cook dinner. I was gathering the ingredients around 5pm and I noticed that there was suddenly an utter silence from the living room. So I went to check, and found Sarah in that 'dangerous' position already asleep.

Our special guests were actually D and her family. There have been some guesswork before they came to our house. We had to solve some puzzles and riddles just to give away our house numbers! It was actually quite fun.
We've met each other at least twice before, but they were just brief meetings. Little that we know that the other party has a blog of her own, and we were reading our own neighbour's blog! It was D who first left a comment on this blog. And it was D who noticed that we live in the same neighbourhood.

Ever since we knew that we live close to each other, D has invited us several times to her house. We haven't managed to pay them a visit yet because we had to stay in all day waiting for a couple of special deliveries.
Eager to meet D in person again (just to reconfirm that I've got the right person), we invited D and her family over for dinner. After all, we should have done the welcoming bit much, much earlier. So, it was a belated reception for them.

D and her children arrived with some buah tangan. They were home-made trifle layered with delicious peaches and a tin of English shortbreads.
From her special dessert, I just knew that D is a great cook. I'm intending to learn some other recipes from her.
We let the children play in the living room after the main course, while the adults sat around the dining table and enjoyed the desserts with a cup of teh tarik, prepared by Babah. It was such a nice moment that we got to sit and learn about each other.
By the way, D is the right person I was thinking all along. Pheww! I further learnt that D is intelligent, ambitious, determined, shy, makes delicious trifle and very beautiful too ;)

D has four children including a set of twins. I've asked her permission to publish her children's photo here. If I'm not mistaken, the above photographed is Abang.
This must be the 2nd twin. I hope I'm right! Both of them sat quietly on the sofa and watched a DVD. They were both so well behaved, masyaallah.
The third one is 6 year old Princess. Sarah loved to play with 'Kakak'. She tailed Kakak all the time. And she loved to brush Kakak's long beautiful hair. Sorry, lots of Kakak's photos were blurry.
And this is the fourth one. He's four years old with a pair of beautiful eyes. (I must remember not to begin a sentence with the word "and". Especially not when D is reading!)

When is R coming over? But R is a poor cook and for sure she can't bring something edible! So when R do come over, don't expect much eh? :p

D introduced her real name. It didn't even begin with 'D'. But I still call her 'D'. Terukkan I?
