20 July 2006: Bon Voyage

No doubt, I'm one of the lucky ones who have great parents-in-law. Unlike Kassim Selamat, my forks are only for good use and safely kept in the kitchen drawers. Alhamdulillah, I'm free from soceraphobia.

Similarly, Sarah and Amar adore Atuk and Nanny so much. As if they knew the vital link in the family, they bonded quite easily. Like any other grandparents, Atuk and Nanny acted as shock absorbers who relentlessly offered support and stability not only to our children but also to us.

Atuk and Nanny's flight was at 12pm. They left Coventry by bus VERY early that morning while the kids were still sleeping. When Sarah woke up that morning, the first word that came out from her mouth was "Atuk?" She uttered the word, semi crying.

May be she sensed that our house has suddenly gone quiet again.

She listened carefully when I explained Atuk and Nanny have gone back to Malaysia. Then she said, "Sarah nak ikut." "Sarah nak naik aeroplane jugak."

I think Amar is still young to understand the whole situation. While Sarah would ask for "Atuk mana?" "Nanny mana?" at times you least expected, despite the numerous explanations that they have gone back.

Science Project with Atuk: Woodlouse

Sarah was extremely happy when Atuk and Nanny called us at 9.30 am. She was telling them about her woodlouse, about playing 'catch the ball' at the backyard and her books, all in one sentence.

Art Project with Nanny: Origami

How can we ever thank Atuk and Nanny for being so generous and caring. Especially, their unceasingly emotional support and countless gifts they have constantly bore. And the energy both Atuk and Nanny have spared to play the same game with Sarah and Amar for hours. And they were always in full spirit and lovingly inculcating beliefs, values and educational activities to the little ones.

Rare! Hopefully, Sarah and Amar are more camera friendly
in the future. I just long for a nice family group photo for the album.

I am pretty sure the children, especially Sarah would love to have Atuk and Nanny to stay on for longer. Although only a short visit, I have definitely learnt a lot from them. Thank you very much for showing the meaning of love, showering affection, and willingness to help and comfort the little ones all the time.

Bye bye Nanny, bye bye Atuk. Thank you again for
everything and
hope to see you again soon.

diorang bagi i extend kerja cardiology rupa2nya kat sini bie. cardiology is one of the best firms lah kat hospital ni, gastro pun best jugak. i mintak gastro sebab dah pernah buat cardiology dulu kan tapi i punya cardiology masa tu pun tak lah complete sangat training dia. happy jugak sikit2 tapi takut pun ada, sbb cardiology susah.

nnydd di harap bersabar.

DITH si syeikh tu memang! heh heh, M&FIL both are guarding their fort very strongly. While both Mynn and I puas 'attack' suruh tinggalkan comment here. Bilalah diaorang nak declare defeat ni?

ikelah i suka gambar cantik. and definitely cuba ambik gambar utk nampak elok. well, at least i try supaya the subject masuk dalam frame. lain2 tak pandai. apa lagi nak adjust saturation, brightness, etc. kalau my gambar turn out cantik, itu memang pure luck. hehe.
