Final Day

Suddenly, it was the last day in Malaysia. We got up very early in the morning. Our flight was at 11 am. I was already dreading the long journey before we even got on the plane.

It was going to be another long journey. All sorts of things came to my mind, hoping that our luggages woudn't go missing, wondering if it was going to be cold when we get there, and praying that our cili kering wouldn't get confiscated by the customs. All sorts of thing. Most of all, I was really hoping that the kids would behave their very best in the plane.

It's puzzling how I felt 12-13 hours journey seemed forever, while 2 weeks in Malaysia just went in a zap!

Sarah and Amar were both too young to understand what was going on that day. Too innocent to know why everyone was fighting back their tears when we left. Too little to protest the holiday was too short.

Anyhow, my dear husband and I were glad, although just a short one, it was a holiday well worth it.

I know the feeling. Suddenly it's all over. Malaysia seems just like a dream, when faced with the cold (literally!) reality of life in UK. :) Not that UK isn't nice though.
