Malaysia

We were very happy to be able to ber-Hari Raya in Malaysia in 2005. My dear husband hasn't been beraya properly with family for a good 10 years! He was lucky to get two weeks off this year. The exciting bit for us was being able to take Sarah and Amar for the first time. Not too sure if the short two weeks was enough for them to know and learn their roots. But I know for sure that a lot of relatives were looking forward to see them.
I don't intend to share the whole story of the journey. But the photos said it all. It wasn't that comfortable for both Sarah and Amar. The bassinet was way too small for Amar who was seven months at the time. Let alone for 24 months old baby.

As for Sarah, it was quite tricky to get her sleep on the chair. Even on a full reclined seat, she was not used to sleep in a seating position. I was also concerned about the seat belt for Sarah. It didn't act as a harness at all for a young child. I think MAS design team should look into this, as we customer had to pay for a two year old child so we expect they receive an equal service including safety aspects.

I personally think that for kids, MAS should provide another piece of harness which could attach to the existing seat belt, just to enhance the safety point. And to enable the kid to stay put incase of emergency.

MAS might say, oh, there are only a small number of child passengers, not a significant percentage or they might even say, that's what you will get for the money that the customer has paid. Kalau nak yang hebat2 or nak bising2, naik 1st class lah!

I'm not too sure what other airlines have to offer especially for the little ones. I haven't tried other airlines, because I'm supporting our local industry even so MAS was not the cheapest option. The least, I should expect them to review on customer care, rather than spending 'those money' on 'unnecessary stuff'.
