Yippee yeay, sampai Malaysia!

We arrived in Malaysia on 4 November 2005. Because of the time difference and Malaysia puasa for 29 days only, we have missed the first day of raya. Nevertheless, mum in law a.k.a Nanny to the children has managed to prepare loads of hari raya dishes to our delight. There was also kerabu mangga, although not so hari raya food, but still my favourite delicacy.

I want to bring back to our flight story again, I haven't finished about my exasperation over MAS. Sorry you all. Anyway, we arrived in KLIA. It was poorly signed, we didn't know exactly where to go. With two tired kids, stroller, gifts and our hand luggage, it was pretty a don't want-to-go-through-it-again experience. We went to the enquiry/information desk for a short cut since we have another plane to catch in less than 40 minutes, and the surly looking receptionist directed us where to go SARCASTICALLY.

As if trying to also say, "tak reti baca sign ke?" and also trying to say, "orang kampung first time naik kapal terbang landing kat KLIA" and "soalan bodoh"...

I guess she was just not very happy for having to work on 2nd day of raya. Too bad! If I were the Manager there, dah lama budak tu kena buang kerja.

Furthermore, her direction was "acuh tak acuh". And she was pointing to her right, and at the end of the passage was a cabang of a few more passages. Urrghh...

Panjang lagi nak marah about that, tapi skip to chapter lain; waiting for our connecting flight. When we arrived at the boarding gate, we were quite relieved because there was another 20 minutes to departure.

The gate was closed! Nobody was there. Panic again, thought that we were late and they have closed the gate. 5 minutes later, a chinese mak cik came up and asked if we were taking the same flight as her. She said that she has been waiting for an hour.

There you go, wasn't that just like Malaysia. With no proper information saying that the plane was going to be delayed. About 10 minutes AFTER (not before) the actual departure time, the gate was opened by two staff, a female and a male. ~Zip my mouth. Don't want to mengumpat about this couple pulak~

Another long wait - our parents have called us and was alright with the delay, as if they were already expecting that.

When we were finally on board, we were seated right at the front. That was fine, closer to the exit. The chinese stewardess was smiling. Also fine by me. Before departure, she was passing by - I guess doing her routine check on our seat belts.

She passed a comment on me, because Amar was strapped to me by our baby carrier. She said it was fine, infact safer. But I do not know how she had missed checking little Sarah. She was restless at that time probably because of the long journey. And Babah had to distract her by looking out the window.

On air, after the pilot announced that it was safe to take off our seat belts, then we realised that she was not strapped at all!!!

There was a choice of orange juice or chocolatey drink. Sarah chose chocolate of course. I can't remember exactly how she has spilled the drink on to herself. COMOT sangat her pink top. Aduh!!! No wonder orang tengok kita semacam. Selekeh betul.

Anyway, our reception was superb!! Both sides of family came. Sarah recognised tok ayah and opah instantly. There were lots of amateur paparazzi too.

Nanny was hosting the welcome back party! The table was full of food, cakes, biscuits and drinks. Yum...

Everyone was talking at the same time. Everyone was excited. Everyone seemed happy. Alhamdulillah, we survived the journey.
