Cardiff's Garden by the Sea: 14 October 2006

Pantai

Still about Cardiff? I'm afraid so! Our initial plan for that day was to visit the historic city of Bath. An hour away from Cardiff and we thought of going straight back to Coventry from Bath. However, we found ourselves trapped in a complot mastermind by our own friends. Only to our advantage really. It was a dinner invitation by a good friend who also lives in Cardiff. Hey, how could we turn down an offer by a good friend?

Jeti

So, instead of going to Bath (I've been there before anyway), Babah suggested going to Penarth. A place which reminded me of a super mini Brighton. And where you can find fresh from the sea Fish & Chips. Only too bad that it was a fasting day during Ramadhan (saya tahu ini cerita basi!). Babah bought special fish strips and chips for some lucky people. I'm talking about the lucky children obviously (dan mereka yang tidak berpuasa).

Penarth is a very attractive seaside little town. Like Brighton, you will only find pebbles along the shore.

Tenang

It was very cold and breezy that morning. But that did not stop the children from enjoying themselves there.

Danial is six months younger than Sarah. Both Sarah and Danial could play together very well.

Aktif

There weren't so many people that day, so the kids really owned the pier by running and playing around. They were just enjoying themselves so much, they even attracted a few other children to join in the fun.

Pasrah

After a while, they all "fall down".

There's an authorised fishing area right at the end of the pier.

And look what they used as baits. Don't ask me what that is.

It was a great outing although the weather was so chilly. Sometimes I wished it was in the summer so that the children could enjoy more of the seaside and savour their creamy and refreshing ice cream.

Ah well, we will soon forget all this when we are feasting upon delicious keropok lekor at our own local sandy beach.

Isnt it a wonder why some beaches are lined with white sand whilst others with yellow sand and yet others with pebbles? Near Beserah where I live there's a beach called Batu Hitam whose beach is lined with black granite-like stones and when the tide is low, the whole area looks dingy and it looks a bit like Mynn's banner picture.

are you saying my banner looks dingy dith?

Mynn,

Your banner is fine. The beach looks dingy in its own beautiful unique way especially when decorated by an itchy fella!

1. Dith It is a wonder and marvel about bumi ciptaan Allah. I have yet to learn about this geological factor of why some beaches are sandy or pebbly.

2. Mynn Time for a change?

3. Dith I wonder when he's going to start itching to design a new one.

4. Zakiah Haiwan-haiwan kat sini memang nampak macam size XL lah. Paling saya tak gemar ialah pacat. Lagi gemuk dari ibu jari kaki dan panjang2.

5. Mama Singa Memang nampak diaorang seronok berlari dan main kat situ!
