30 December 2006: Hari Raya Haji
We were very lucky to be able to celebrate Hari Raya Haji with Auntie Wa's family in Nottingham. Apart from our tummies were well fed with great food, it also meant that we spent the special day with some great and special people.
It will always remind me of home (Malaysia) whenever we visit Auntie Wa and family in Nottingham. Like many other students who are missing their families, we felt like Auntie Wa's house is the next best thing for us to "menumpang kasih".
I doubt Auntie Wa is using some sort of "ubat guna-guna" but those who have been there would want to go there again and again and again. And the whole family's special treatment would make you feel special and guarantees warmth,
love,
fun,
affection and,
definitely good food!
Even though we are far away from our own family, by no means we do not remember them or we do not want to be with them. After all, life has lots to do with qurban.
We just hope that soon enough, our children will be spending hari raya with their own grandparents just like the way we used to do when we were children.
As for the time being, we are grateful that the grandparents are still well, very supportive and only a phone call away.
We would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts to Tok Ayah and Opah for the gift of baju raya for my children and a pair of green kebarung for me. Babah's stunning green shirt and my beautiful jubah (worn on second day) were courtesy of Atuk and Nanny. Must have cost them a fortune to send them here.
We're not worthy, but we appreciate your kind thoughts and your forever sacrifices mean a lot to us. May Allah grant all of you with good health and hoping that we will be able to celebrate the next hari raya together.

Sayang betul Tok Ayah dan Opah pada anak, menantu serta cucu-cucu nya.
Beruntung awak semua, orang di UK sayang, orang di Malaysia pula merindu.
Modal awak? Kata-kata yang manis aje....Tu lah orang kata...mulut mesti manis dan hati mahu baik, baru lah ramai yang menyayangi, kan? ;)
Haiyoo, look at your two babies! Sarah so lovely in her baju kurung, and Amar! uuu Amar looked especially handsome in his baju melayu!
Nisak..saya tgk 'Jungle Book' di Mynn. Sarah masih pakai drypers ker?
11. Idham tuan kebarung, tengok di sini-->

12. D look closely where ah?
13. DITH aippp!!!
14. The Singa kesiannya!
15. Shami kebetulan je warna blog = warna baju raya.
AZIE! BIAR PECAH DI PERUT!
16. Mulan Sarah kata kebarung hijau tu TAK CANTIK! Dia kata pink lagi cantik.
17. Simah Jangan break my heart sudah!
18. Pycno Modal saya = kata-kata manis sahaja unfortunately. Saya bukanlah orang yang berada nak tabur hadiah wang ringgit. Maka, terima kasih (dan kata-kata yang kononnya manis) je yang mampu kami ucapkan.
19. Farah on behalf of my children, thank you very much :)
20. Azie Sarah pakai nappy di waktu-waktu 'tertentu'.
ooo now i know kenapa? kih kih kih. Kelakar lah Sarah nih.
Harap Mama Sarah tak salah faham pula. Pycno hanya bergurau dengan komen tu tadi, sebab tu lah di iringi dengan ;)
Pulau Pandan jauh ke tengah,
Gunung Daik bercabang tiga;
Hancur badan dikandung tanah,
Budi yang baik dikenang jua.
Pisang emas bawa belayar,
Masak sebiji di atas peti;
Hutang emas boleh dibayar,
Hutang budi dibawa mati.
Kalau ada jarum yang patah,
Jangan disimpan di dalam peti;
Kalau ada silap dan salah,
Jangan disimpan di dalam hati.
22. Azie hihihi...
23. Pycno coming from Pycno, I kinda expected it meant well. Alamak macamana nak 'beli' pantun ni pulak?
Buah cempedak di luar pagar
Ambil galah tolong jolokkan
Saya budak baru belajar
Kalau salah tolong tunjukkan
Kalau ada jarum yang patah
Jangan disimpan di dalam peti
Kata Pycno tiada yang salah
Don't worry, tak disimpan dalam hati
Kutanam-tanam padi seladang
Malangnya nasib lalang yang jadi
Andai ada masa yang terluang
Salam hormat berjumpa lagi
(fuh, it took me a while to remember the whole thing!)
mama sarah, i think we're very, very close... what's your post code? (ever so bluntly!!)
D, I thought u already knew where my house is??? You could see me from your windows remember?!
but anyway, it's the same road as K.Haz/Fendi :)
hehehe.. that was the MS windows la.... well, i noticed some signs and signals from some previous pictures you posted and we went alooking just now. we were on the verge of knocking on the doors (like Hugh Grant in Love Always) to see which one belongs to a Mama Sarah. Even contemplated on leaving a message on the nearest signpost on your street. So, i'm right then, that you're on that street - sama dengan kak haz!
hey, come over for tea la... i've got some rich tea biscuits. *grin* I haven't cheated by asking anyone about you. just checked your entries...
D, hihihi must make appointment or not? duduk kat negeri Queen Elizabeth ni kena ikut procedure yang betul :)
anyway thanks for the 'crumbs' you left behind - made me realised that it was really you (and your son, 'the smiliest one') I met at the superstore a few weeks ago, right?
(mental note: must scrub our front entrance lah. Incase D is coming for inspection!)
no need protocol la... the phone just rang a minute ago, and i thought, "aik... she got my number ka??". btw, don't think i ever indicated where i was moving to!! still, u coming?
so is it not Ch.Av? Oh sudah salah orang, ini macam. but hey, i remember your little hero beautiful eyes so much. (that boy who didn't go to school that day kan kan???)
Not today lah D. Belum masak lah. Hubby coming back in an hour's time. Do spare some rich tea biscuits for me next time eh?
incase you find this handy;
nisakzin@yahoo.co.uk
you hit the jackpot la... what's your house number? hehehe? 39? 41? it's about that, right?
yippee yeay.
i would love to be in no.39, lovely beautiful clean house. Ours is sandwiched between two shining houses.
This comment plus four.
(mental note: this is serious. Must really do the scrubbing tomorrow if not raining!)
