Happy Birthday Ayah Ji (And an announcement)
Today is Babah Izlin and Yaya's birthday. We are guessing they will be having a special makan-makan session back home. Too bad we couldn't be there. Otherwise it would have been a great gathering, especially for the children.
By the way, Babah Izlin and Yaya is actually Mama Sarah's older brother. (You're excused DITH dear. The photo was taken sometime in 2005) He is one of the many people that I look up to in my life. He has always been the good, sensible and intelligent one and set such high standards for us siblings to follow. (I meant that in a good way) At the same time he is also a kind and thoughtful Big Brother who has given loads of support and encouragement to us.
So here's to you Bro, Happy Birthday! We hope that you will be successful always and forever. Also we hope that you will encounter many more good opportunities in life. And may Allah bless you and family always.

I am also sad to announce the demise of my beloved grandmother,
Ninda Hajjah Hasnah bt Abd Manaf at 9am (Malaysian time) at the age of 84. She was treated at Pontian Hospital, then transferred to Johor Bahru Hospital shortly before her passing. I am proud for my grandma that despite the Banjir, some of her 12 children, 60 (at least) grandchildren and countless great-grandchildren managed to look after her while she was ill.
My late grandmother will always be special in our hearts. She was the most affectionate and fair (impartial) person I have ever known. Among her advices to me was "Jaga maruah diri dan nama baik keluarga", which I have always remember and will pass on to the next generation.
May Allah bless her with peace and grace, And place her among the first ranks of His beloveds. Al-Fatihah.

Sad Announcement: Al-Fatihah
I am also sad to announce the demise of my beloved grandmother,

She does work for the government, at the Kem Luar Negara. She's been commissioned to s'pore for 3 yrs as a part of the Malaysian embassy team there.
