Touchwood shopping centre, Solihull

It looked like it was going to be a very sunny day last Saturday. Arep and Dina contacted Babah and suggested to explore a place we have never been before. We all got ready as fast as we could and made our way via M6 then M42 (exit junction 5) towards Solihull town centre.

As soon as we entered the district, we were all amazed by how beautiful and serene the little town was. Radiant yellow daffodils sprouting along the road, truly a very good first impressions.

We parked our cars and walked to Touchwood Arcade. May be it's not as big as Bullring Shopping centre in Birmingham. But it has it's own characters and specialities. The interior decoration is more traditional and ordinary compared to Bullring, still I like the place a lot.

Babah offered to buy me a handbag as a Mother's Day present. Ooh la la... but after some serious thoughts, I declined the offer. (Arrrgghhh ruginya!!!)

Anyway, I was very excited to see Lakeland (the home of creative kitchenware<-- their slogan) and felt like buying everything on display. Luckily common sense hit me and bought only measuring spoon and cup set.

We had lunch at Wagamama. It was a pleasant lunch. The food we ordered came swiftly. We ate and shared our food. Don't worry, we were well secluded in a corner so no one really saw our plates flying around the table. (Unless we were caught on a cctv!)

Amar behaved himself the first three quarters of the time in the restaurant. Well, he chewed on serviette paper and wooden chopsticks; that kept him occupied for a while. Then he decided that he was going to have Dina's drink and made her hold the straw for him. While he sat back with both arms behind his head and devoured the whole glass of fruit juice.

The rest of the afternoon was spent around the town centre. It was still bright with blue sky but the temperature must have dropped a few degrees Celsius. Suddenly it became very chilly with recurrent frosty wind streams.

That didn't stop Sarah from enjoying herself on the fun-fair car rides. She got to ride on two different rides. A colourful car adorned with drawings of spiders and cobweb. Also a giant spinning yellow teacup.

Our sojourn in Solihull was a breath of fresh air. We have all enjoyed each other's company at a new place. Arep and Dina have both showered our children with attention and treated them fondly. Not only that, they have actually treated us at the restaurant too. Thank you ever so much guys for the fun outing!

7. DITH Entahlah... tak sedap pula nak berbelanja sesuka hati. The amount of money can be saved for downpayment nak beli kereta ke, rumah ke in the future. (I bet Babah cakap; new lens ke, new kit ke...!)

8. mom2Ashley I know! I know! Rugi betul lah. Tapi too expensive, can buy 10 handbags from M&S. Cheapskate betul saya.

9. Afie Pls destroy the evidence after you've saved it ok? kihkih... I'm no pro ok. Sikit-sikit tu bolehlah.

10. Kak Elle London far better! You might have been to London before, but one can never get enough of London kan?

11. Azie hehehe... tulah tak sampai hati nak spend duit suami lah. Dahlah benda tu tak sale. Kalau beli jugak, namanya tak economic lah. Bertuah tak dapat isteri macam saya ni?

Aah Babah? ooo Babah?

Hi,

Ya it's true. The interior decoration of Touchwood Shopping Centre is more traditional and ordinary compared to Bullring. This is one of the major place in Solihull, where people can enjoy for many hours. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful Solihull information.
