Kunjungan Balas by The Des and friends
So it was weekend again. We knew the De family was on a road trip to the South. The were joined by their best mates from Liverpool. They were kind to invite us as well. But it was too short notice for Babah to get a leave as they planned to begin their tour on Thursday.
Hopefully when our kids are bigger and when they appreciate long journeys, we will take them to the esplanade too.
On Saturday, as not to bore ourselves to death at home, we thought of going somewhere within an hour from Coventry. We thought of Warwick Castle. But before that, I took Sarah to our local library. Amar was having his morning nap so Babah stayed at home with him.
While we were out, we stopped at Gallagher retail park to find new summer clothing for the kids and Babah. We also managed to stop by Medina Halal meat shop. When we came back, Amar was still asleep!
And Babah has a great piece of news. He received a phone call from Uncle De and he said that the De family and friends are coming to camp in our house for the night. After an excellent treatment at their place the weekend before, we wanted to make sure our guests are at least equally comfortable too.
There was plenty of time for me to change the sheets, tidy up a little bit and cooked dinner. They arrived 15 minutes to 9pm.
The guests were the De family (4 people), Atak's family (3 people) and Auntie De's friend from Malaysia, Fifi.
After dinner, Atak's family went back to Liverpool. We tried to make them stay overnight. But they insisted to go back to get a full day rest on Sunday. They went back to Liverpool around 11ish pm.
The Des had to squeeze themselves like a can of sardines on the double bed in the guest room. Poor Fifi got the kids' room. She slept on the floor!
The next morning, the kids woke up early as usual (except for Emyr).
I continued washing the dishes and tidying up when I noticed it was actually my pasta bake, 'burning' under the grill!
Whoops!
I removed the blackened crust. And luckily it was still edible.
When the boys got together
Auntie De suggested for a sushi picnic at Stratford upon Avon.
BUT...
But... we couldn't wait for Stratford upon Avon. We finished all the sushi even before we left.
