Mini strawberry farm

3 more junctions and we were there.
The above photo is dedicated to Miss Afie911.

We woke up to a rainy Saturday morning. But it stopped around 7.30 am, and the weather was fine for the rest of the day. I have already called Auntie Wa the day before arranging to pay them a visit over the weekend. The last time we went to visit was during the barbecue and farewell party for Uncle Datuk and Auntie Datin in April 2006.

We started our journey around 10.30am towards the North via M1 to Nottingham. I was tempted to ask Babah to make a detour to pass by Loughborough. But we wanted to reach Nottingham as early as possible.

Sarah was so excited, eyes wide open when she saw "Big sheep" on the way to Nottingham.
Yes, actually they were cows.

Alhamdulillah we reached Nottingham and as per usual, we weren't short of things to talk about. Plus, Amanda (Auntie Wa's daughter) has just came back from Italy. So there was her share of stories about her trip as well.

Auntie Wa has planted a row of strawberry plants in her garden. I was amazed, just a row of strawberry plants can yield a bumper crop of fruit. Babah and Sarah helped to pick the strawberries.

They ate some of them in the garden and only spared us a punnet full of strawberries.

They were sweet and juicy!

Luckily I brought extra pairs of clothing for the kids. We changed their clothes at least 4 times. They didn't stop eating grapes, cherries, strawberries, ice cream etc and always looking very comot.

Amar was happy too. I let him walk freely in the house. He loved this spot very much. Yes, tangga. He made several attempts to climb up the stairs. But always under supervision. Sarah was a good 'prefect' too. She reported to us every time Amar went close to the staircase.

"Sayang Amar" Sarah said hugging Amar.

We came back after dinner. The road was clear and it only took us around 35 minutes to reach home! The Brits must be busy watching Argentina v Mexico match.

Dear OK, once both of you are in the production mode and having dozens of kids, please give me the honor to design uniforms for them ok!

Mama, are the strawberries sweet there? The ones we get here are always sour!

The padded stairway looks so safe and comfy.

sherin takkanlah i nak letak gambar depa comot. malu company lah! turun naik 20x ya? good form of exercise for the mama right?

DITH strawberries yang kita makan tu, masam manis-manis. sungguh enak! percayalah.

ikelah ya benar sekali. looks can be deceiving just like the weather. nampak cerah semacam, tapi bila keluar; sejuk pula kena pakai jacket. sama seperti strawberries, mana2 pun rasanya sifatnya masam-manis. ikut tahap ketahanan setiap individu. macam saya suka makan asam jeruk, boleh lah tahan makan strawberry masam. those yang tak tahan, kita maniskan sikit.

Confirm kalah strawberry Cameron Higlands. juicy yes, but sweet? probably one in a thousand kot. then again, like I mentioned before I like the fruit because the first strawberries I've eaten were sour in the first place.. hehe.
